Our group has specialised at the intersection between traditional Systems Engineering thinking, Innovation management and Data Science to achieve a leap forward in terms of how our clients’ solutions are designed and managed effectively and efficiently through life.


We currently have projects that involve:

  • Providing systems and safety engineering to nationally important Defence projects.
  • Providing systems engineering and safety assurance support to rail infrastructure projects in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne.
  • Digitising systems engineering processes for increased productivity.
  • Supporting Defence in their delivery of their innovation portfolio.
  • Deploying machine learning in using big data to analyse and manage critical infrastructure.
  • Leading the thinking on autonomous systems assurance and unlocking existing regulatory frameworks to enable autonomous operations.
  • Improving the efficiency of power generation and transmission networks through innovative modelling and analysis.


Your responsibilities will grow whilst in Frazer-Nash and could include:

  • Identifying and minimising project risks using proven Systems Engineering and Assurance approaches throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
  • Leading and managing Verification and Validation program across the project, ensuring user needs are captured and met through design and related activities.
  • Engagement and close coordination with various stakeholders, including Design, Construction, Software, Environmental, and Sustainability subject matter experts, to ensure technical requirements are verified and validated to enable and support safety case development.
  • Leading or facilitating integrated workshops to identify risks and controls in areas such as Systems Safety, RAM, Human Factors, and more.
  • Collaborating and aligning with project owners, capability operators, and the independent assessors to progressively assure systems are functional, fit for purpose, safe, and reliable prior to delivery.
  • Generation of technical management plans, establishing system architecture, configuration and change management processes, and supporting integration and interfacing with external projects and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship and/or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance (essential).
  • Bachelor of Engineering / Science Degree (desirable).
  • Experience of regulated industries / frameworks, for example railway, defence, nuclear (desirable)
  • Systems engineering knowledge and experience (desirable).
  • System safety and assurance experience (desirable).
  • Professional body membership, for example Engineers Australia, INCOSE / SESA (highly regarded).
  • Experienced in the application of computer aided system engineering tools, for example DOORS, MBSE tools (highly regarded)
  • Excellent client management/stakeholder engagement skills (or the aptitude to learn).
