Here are the latest Australian COVID-19 stats:

Headlines

  • All foreigner travellers will be banned from entering Australia from 9:00pm AEDT tomorrow.
  • As at 6.30am on 19 March 2020, there have been 565 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia. There have been 111 new cases since 6.30am yesterday (I will monitor this overnight when official AU Gov. stats are updated)
  • Non-essential gatherings of 100 people or more in an indoor space prohibited from Wednesday 18 March 2020.

Travel

  • Smartraveller - Now advise all Australians: DO NOT travel overseas at this time. This is our highest advice level (level 4 of 4).
    • ​​​​​​​If you are already overseas and wish to return to Australia, we recommend you do so as soon as possible by commercial means.
    • Regardless of your destination, age or health, advice is do not travel at this time.
