News & Events-Frazer-Nash welcomes summer interns

Caitie McClelland and Yuan Li, two aspiring electrical engineers from the University of Melbourne, have joined Frazer-Nash on our summer internship programme.

This is the first year we have extended our very successful UK internship programme to our Australian operations. Dr Ian Watson, who joined Frazer-Nash through the UK internship scheme ten years ago said, "I am proud to be able to develop young engineers in Australia by introducing them to our interesting and high profile projects across a range of industries".

The program has an excellent track record for attracting the brightest future engineers. It is specifically designed to develop our interns' engineering and business skills across a wide range of industry sectors, working on real-world projects alongside our world-class engineers.

Yuan and Caitie will be with us for 13 weeks until the end of February 2015 and they have already contributed to a diverse range of projects. Yuan is supporting the development of an investment risk assessment tool for clients in the Oil and Gas sector. Caitie is undertaking reliability analysis of a rail project and supporting a study on optimisation techniques within the mining sector.
