Archie Frazer-Nash in Rikki Tikki

Frazer-Nash has always been renowned for its innovative engineering. This passion started with just one man and has shaped the way we operate today. We continue to enhance our techniques and capabilities to deliver the best to our clients.

Where we are today

Today Frazer-Nash provides global engineering services to the defence, nuclear, aerospace, transport, power and energy, and security and resilience industries. Frazer-Nash operates autonomously whilst contributing invaluably to the Babcock International Group. It is the values held by Archie Frazer-Nash, to deliver engineering excellence by exceeding expectations, that has made the company the success it is today and it is these values that we continue to aspire to.

Our history and heritage

The Frazer-Nash engineering legacy can be traced right back to the 1920s when Archie Frazer-Nash starts the Frazer Nash company to design and produce specialist cars.

Archie's talent for engineering and innovation leads to his design and production of machine gun turrets for Wellington and Lancaster bombers used during the Second World War.

Frazer-Nash becomes a major developer of air weapons carriage systems and, by the time of Archie's death in 1965, the group has become a 2nd tier defence and civil contractor.

The Frazer-Nash Consultancy is formed as part of the Frazer-Nash Group of companies to provide engineering analysis and computational services to the group's other companies.

Following a management buyout, Frazer-Nash Consultancy continues to grow rapidly, building its portfolio of major support contracts which begins with the MOD.

Frazer-Nash Consultancy is acquired to form part of Devonport Management Limited which is subsequently acquired by the Babcock International Group plc.

Now owned by the Babcock International Group, Frazer-Nash Consultancy remains an independent operating entity.

Frazer-Nash Consultancy opens its first Australian office in Adelaide to support programmes in defence, natural resources, rail and aerospace.

Frazer-Nash Consultancy opens a new office in Melbourne, its second Australian office.
