Frazer-Nash’s successful track record in medical engineering will be showcased at the 2020 South Australian (SA) Health Virtual Supplier Conference, taking place on 12 November.

The conference, titled ‘Together Towards Tomorrow 2.0’, will be delivered ‘virtually’ using state of the art technology, and allow attendees to engage with SA Health via industry roundtables, panel discussions, supplier awards, videos and interactive content. It will offer an update on SA Health’s procurement strategy, and share knowledge and information about procurement processes.

Group Leader, Nigel Doyle, who will be part of the team attending the conference, said:

“We’re looking forward to engaging with SA Health and the South Australian government at the 2020 conference, and to demonstrating how our innovative use of digital technologies can support greater integration, and drive efficiencies in the delivery of health and social care services. We’ve developed a video that shows just some of the services we offer, which can be viewed here.

“As an example, we’ve recently used satellite data to develop a tool that predicts mould growth and smoke spread for Australia’s Northern Territory (NT) government – this tool won the Galaxy Award and Northern Territory Health Challenge at the 2019 Deloitte AWS Gravity Challenge awards. Mould and bushfire smoke can be triggers that worsens symptoms for respiratory conditions such as asthma. By forecasting when, and where, mould growth is likely to increase, and the spread and concentration of smoke particles, the tool can help the government to manage potential demand on scarce medical facilities during an outbreak.

“We’re looking forward to taking part in the conference, and to discussing with attendees about how our in-depth knowledge of the health sector, combined with our problem-solving skills and engineering expertise, can help medical organisations to identify the origins of problems – as with the root cause analysis of power failures we undertook for the Royal Adelaide Hospital.”
